African drumming camp was held in The Hub in Carlow Regional Youth Services and 40 young people participated. The week was organised and run by youth workers along with volunteers from the community.

Sessions during the week were facilitated by three accomplished drumming teachers who instructed the young people in African drumming techniques as well as traditional songs. The week culminated in a drum circle performance and dance by participants for parents and visitors which was very well received by all in attendance.
